Delivery has been taken of the “new to us” tower truck, which was put into service earlier this year and has been used for a number of incidents. The new ambulance is on or- der and will be delivered in early 2021. This unit will replace the aging 17-year-old ambulance, thereby benefiting and adding security to the entire service territory. Through January 2020 the Foundation received pledges of more than $330,000 but then the fundraising effort was sidetracked by COVID-19. Even in this dif- ficult environment the Foundation reached out to the community and received a very important additional distribution of $50,000 from the Carl Ferris Operat- ing Foundation as well as a few other contributions bringing the total to within $80,000 of the goal. The Foundation has re-energized its efforts. With the goal in sight and hopes for your help and generosity, the campaign will be completed and the goal reached before New Year’s Eve 2020! Many thanks to those who have already contributed toward this very important initiative that will benefit the entire community in many important ways.
