Estate Treasures to Host Warehouse
Sale on Saturday, July 21
Estate Treasures, an upscale resale shop in Chester, will host a warehouse sale
from 8am to 2pm Saturday, July 21
, at its storage unit, 106 Log Canoe Circle,
Chesapeake Business Park, Stevensville.
An affiliate of Compass Regional Hos-
pice, Estate Treasures has been raising
money for hospice care and grief support
provided in Queen Anne’s County for
more than 25 years. The proceeds from
the sale will benefit Compass Regional
Hospice, which offers individuals, fami-
lies and the community “Care on your
terms” through comprehensive, profes-
sional and compassionate end-of-life
care and grief support.
Compass Regional Hospice takes care of
infants and children, as well as adults in
need of its programs, which in addition to
hospice care include grief counseling and
support groups, and patients are never
turned away based on an inability to pay
for services. Because of this, there is a $1.4 million funding gap between what the
organization receives in service payments and the actual cost of care provided.
The warehouse sale will feature furniture, sports equipment, kitchen appliances,
tools, area rugs, light fixtures and lamps, children’s clothing and toys, and lawn
and garden items. Estate Treasures is accepting these items for donation, in good,
working condition. Contact the store for details about dropping off donations.
Items not acceptable for donation are treadmills and stationary bikes, TVs, medi-
cal equipment, large appliances, mattresses, used building materials, computers
and computer equipment, tires, used automotive or boat parts, and books.

ear Dr. Truth:
I lost my best friend – we have been
lostmy right arm. In a sense I have. I am
at such loss. I’ve never lost anyone and
I am 45 years old. My other friend says
it’s called “from birth to earth”. Have
you ever heard this saying?
Dear Saddened,
Yes, I have heard the term. It’s straight
out of “West Side Story”! I am very
sorry for your loss. At 45 you have
beenblessednot tohave toexperience
loss before now. These are the more
primitive versions of the same: from
“womb to tomb” and “spermtoworm”.
Best friends should be cherished…
